Just a heads up, I'm having some personal issues that I am currently working through. I'll be back soon, but expect no updates for the time being.

Well, I still need to clean up the forums, but for the most part, I have migrated the forums over and completed the maintenance. I ran into some issues in updating the server which I will need to take care of, but that will be a large ordeal so I'll put it off for now.

I believe steven is the one hosting that site. You might try contacting him about it if you are still interested in it. Steven was hoping to do the same thing in Java I believe. Not sure how far along he got though. That is an interesting idea, but I would be concerned about performance in...

It's that time of the month again! I will be preforming server maintenance tonight, this time on odyonline.com, burningstormstudios.com, and forum.burningstormstudios.com. Expect outages for at least a few hours after 7:00 PM CST. Big plans for tonight are migrating the forum to XenForo and...

Just a small update, I'm still alive, the streaming hasn't happened out of laziness, sickness and general disinterest. I still plan to do it, but haven't really had a lot of time. I'll post back here when a stream is up so subscribe to this topic if you want a notification when I'm streaming.

In case you didn't notice, the odyonline.com website has been having some major issues this month. I spent a long time trying to perfect the git publish hooks, but never quite got it working as I wanted. Not to mention, the database migrations constantly failed on the live server while they...

Well..that was unexpected. I've been testing my deployment scripts against my staging server all week trying to perfect the process. Long story short, I thought it was nearly ready so I scheduled a test deployment of the odyonline.com website to run last night which shouldn't have made any...

Re: Development Update - April 15, 2014 - Planned Maintenanc Alright, done with the part that affects most of the sites. I'll be working on the odyonline website and deployment scripts over the next few days/week. The main site and forums should remain online now though.

Re: Development Update - April 15, 2014 - Planned Maintenanc Just a reminder, all burningstorm studios hosted sites and services will be intermittedly offline the remainder of the evening through tomorrow 04/26/2014. I will post again here when things are stable and back online. If a site seems...

Re: Development Update - April 15, 2014 - Planned Maintenanc Late notice, but some things came up and this has been postponed until next weekend.

It's that time again. This weekend I'll be preforming some maintenance on the server. During this time, expect outages across all of our domains. For this maintenance, my agenda is as follows: Full image backup Update all packages currently installed to their latest stable versions Switch our...

This is a couple of days late since I apparently saved it, not submitted. I'm having a lot of problems with the network code for some reason. I know I've tested and used this in the past, but I'm having a very hard time keeping connections alive. For some reason, the client randomly disconnects...

I switched from shared hosting to a vps and have never been happier. It is significantly more expensive and there is a very steep learning curve, but the end result has been very nice. All of our sites are so much faster. Me being the server administrator also allows us to have whatever we want...

Welcome! What's up with Odyssey these days? Not much to be perfectly honest. I got the last source code from Steverino from before he quit. I attempted to revive Odyssey only to find much of his code doesn't work on Windows Vista+. So I fixed some of the major issues and started a complete code...

Long time no dev update! So I mentioned I'm moving and there will be less updates for awhile. This is still true. I have not moved yet but am still in the process of getting ready to move. We have a garage packed full of crap that we are slowly throwing out or repacking. The house is not yet on...

That would be the rewrite of Odyssey. See my reply to your other topic. :)

Alright, everything seems to be reporting normal now. Closing this thread.

Our hosts maintenance is done. Due to the restart, we are now experiencing some problems with a few of our cron jobs and the ruby install appears to be completely broken. Ruby will not affect normal users, but since we are currently unable to access our source repository, it does affect us. I am...
